The Difference Between Bourbon and Tennessee Whiskey

A few pages from "Classic Bourbon Tennessee & Rye Whiskey", by Jim Murray, clears up confusion on the difference between bourbon and Tennessee whiskey. For those in a hurry, the short answer is: Tennessee whiskeys, for example, Jack Daniel's, are charcoal filtered for several days. 

Also, contrary to popular belief, bourbon doesn't have to be made in Kentucky to be called bourbon.
